My Sweet Patootie - Sassy Modern Vaudeville, Roots & Ragtime

My Sweet Patootie is contemporary roots and ragtime at its best; bringing tight vocal harmonies, monstrous guitar, sizzling fiddle and percussion in one perfect package.

Founded in 2007 by Canadian Folk Music Award winners, Sandra Swannell (violin/vocals) and Terry Young (guitar/vocals), together with UK percussionist John Jackson, the trio has a growing international reputation.

From original swing to funky fiddle-tune arrangements to exquisite ballads, they deliver a must-see show that Driftwood Magazine describes as “two parts exemplary musicianship, one part vaudeville comedy”. combining exemplary musicianship and humour in an uplifting vaudeville-style show.

The band is heavily influenced by the likes of Chet Atkins, Lenny Breau, Les Paul & Mary Ford and the Andrews Sisters. Throw in a penchant for light-hearted satire and their love of artists like Patsy Cline and Hank Williams and you get a sound that Terry Young likes to call "Green Acres for the New Millennium".

Incredible professionalism and stunning musicianship plus great audience rapport and stagecraft equals a perfect festival band."
