Brixham Comedy Grove presents Britain's Got Talent Finalist 2017 Daliso Chaponda and Friends

Brixham Comedy Grove presents Daliso Chaponda and Friends.

Headlining Act, Daliso Chaponda is a 37-year-old stand-up comedian from Manchester but was originally from Malawi.

He combines his African roots with his experiences of living in Britain to create hilarious routines featuring chavs, the financial crisis and fish and chips.

The funny man had the audience and the judging panel in fits of laughter on Britain’s Got Talent, with Amanda Holden giving out her infamous cackle on a number of occasions, until she hit the Golden Buzzer to send Daliso straight through to the Semi-Finals.  His skill took him to third place in the BGT Final 2017

Daliso is a versatile African comedian equally comfortable talking politics, romance, filth or religion. As such, he has performed in such diverse venues as churches, casinos, strip clubs and sports bars.

'Full of extravagant gestures and impassioned speeches, he inspires whoops and cheers from his watchers. Highly recommended' (BBC)

'A joy to listen to. Provocative, poignant and ultimately hilarious' (The Guardian)

'I laughed so much I thought I'd pass out!' (The List)

'It takes a special kind of act to work on both sides of the Atlantic (as well as across Africa), but it seems an easy transition as he compels the crowd with his racial and socially insightful comedy' (News and Star, Carlisle)

'Absolutely took the roof off the place. Brilliant, brilliant act' (The Frog and Bucket).

Compering  will be resident comedian Cerys Nelmes and there will be two outstanding support comedians (TBC)

Please note that there is a minimum age of 18 years on this event.
