Appaloosas supported by Martin Scragg

From way out in the Wild West - of Dartmoor - come Appaloosa

They play Old-Time and Appalachian, the music that became American music. Rooted in songs and tunes carried by settlers from the British Isles, it was familiar musical home comforts for generations of emigrants.

Supported by Martin Scragg, active in the folk revival for over 40 years, singing mostly traditional Anglo- Irish and Scottish material, with a fair amount of more contemporary songs written within the traditional mould.

Music from tough times telling of the unchanging human condition, from anonymous, long-dead voices but still resonating today.
