Comedy Grove presents Brixham Comedy Grove

The first Brixham Comedy Grove Night was such a success we are repeating the experience, venturing into new ground on Friday 27 November at 8 pm.

Stand-up comic, Robin Morgan, combines his quick wit and natural story-telling with a confident, cheeky style. Robin gigs regularly for some of the biggest clubs and promoters in the UK, including the Glee Club, Jongleurs, Avalon and Off the Kerb, both as an MC and performer.

Based in Plymouth, Richard James has been performing comedy since 2012 and was a finalist in Foster's South Coast Comedian of the Year in 2014

He has performed across the UK on pro-bills alongside the great and the good, from festivals to corporate functions, to theatres and little pubs. In Feb 2015 he majestically crossed the Atlantic and performed in the USA, in New York and Baltimore.

Along with a fondness for the absurd and the awkward details of life, Richard is an unashamed nerd for history and science fiction.  The material that he uses stretches from topical humour to bizarre family stories to films and history. His passion for writing comedy means that he is constantly coming up with new ideas, sketches and routines.

'...coped with a ‘excitable’ crowd exceptionally well, engaging them with warming stories of his childhood and own personal geekery.' The Funny Fort: Plymouth

'...continues to deliver brilliantly in front of audiences of any size. I’ve seen rooms captivated as he transports audiences back through nostalgic school days and his precarious experiences as a youngster. There’s something for everyone as Richard’s friendly stage presence facilitates the absurdity of the situations this rising star has found himself in over the years. ' Ministry Comedy Bournemouth.

'quick wit and hilarious anecdotes quickly endear him to an expectant crowd.' New Life Magazine

A former estate agent, Nick Page got into comedy for a bet, he's still not sure if he's won.

He turned professional 4 months after his first open mic appearance, helped by working with Steve Coogan's 'Baby Cow' production company and an approach from the BBC who needed someone with a knowledge of property and a bit of life for a new series, 'Escape to the Country', on prime time TV.

Nick performs all over the country, using material with a surprising mixture of cynical observation and storytelling, drawing on his useless degree (International Politics and Far Eastern History) and inability to do a proper job. His brother holds the record for throwing a Wellington boot (292 feet)

"a huge dose of likeability with some very clever material" Bath Chronicle.

"the funniest thing I've seen all year" Mitch Benn

" a curious and enquiring mind in the body of a white rhino" Silky

" a very fine man" Jo whiley, Radio 1

An award winning comedian, Jenny Collier moved from the Welsh mountains to the Big Smoke in 2010 and has since embarked upon a career in stand up comedy, making the final of ''So You Think You're Funny' in August 2013.

She claims the highlight of her career so far was appearing on a BBC Radio Wales panel show with Jo Brand.

The low point was a member of an audience saying 'You should be a stripper'.  Actually Jenny thinks they were both secretly highlights.

'Refreshingly original... Excellent' (Broadway Baby)

'Makes vitriol adorable, delivers funny dark material as though butter wouldn't melt'

(Wildcard Comedy)

'... the refreshingly innovative and quick-witted Jenny Collier' (Funhouse Comedy).
